Strategic masterplan study on behalf of the Town Council of Hafnarfjördur, a suburb of Reykjavik, with a population of 20,000.

The first element of the study considers the impact of a sudden expansion in population and employment on the environment and the identity of the community. The second element includes the design of a new cultural quarter utilising large quayside buildings no longer needed by the Harbour Authority and the establishment of an urban fabric framework which can be used to encourage and guide investment in both the public and private sector.
